Although altered in apearance, this home at 205 South 12th Street, was built in 1896 by trustees of Henry Kendall College for its presidents, W. R. King, F.W. Hawley, and A. Grant Evens. The residence also served as the boyhood home of Jack "Oakie" Offield, noted movie star.
