This home at 521 North 13th Street was built in 1907 by George S. Ramsey, a prominent attorney of early
statehood days who was president of the Muskogee Bar Association in 1914, and later president of the
Oklahoma Bar Association. He was appointed to the Oklahoma Supreme Court in 1920. Mr. Ramsey's legal
analysis of employer-employee relations was widely acclaimed by his fellows. At various times, from 1906
until his death in 1941, he shared law offices with Judge J.R. Thomas, N.A. Gibson, Edgar De Meules and
Judge Malcolm E. Rosser. By his own admission, Mr. Ramsey never attended school a day in his life.
